Keeping Our Community Swagtastic: Comment Section House Rules

We’ve built an incredible community together, and as we continue to grow, we want to make sure the comments section remains a safe, fun, and upbeat place for everyone to hang out.

To help protect the positive energy we all love, we’ve put together some updated House Rules. Please take a moment to read through them, as they help us ensure that everyone feels welcome and respected.

Our “Keep It” Guidelines:

  • Keep it Classy – Let’s keep the language clean! No use of profanity, profane language, or inappropriate video/photographic content.
  • Keep it Kind – This is a happy place. We have zero tolerance for bullying, targeted harassment, or abusive behavior. This includes “call-outs” or comments intended to shame or intimidate other members. Keep your fellow Swaggernauts in mind when you post.
  • Keep it Mindful – Privacy is our top priority. Doxing or sharing the private, real-life information of another member (such as their address, phone number, workplace, or family details) is strictly prohibited. Also, please avoid sharing screenshots or correspondence from Swagbucks Support that isn’t intended for the whole community.
  • Keep it Positive – We know not every day is sunshine, but we’re here to support each other and celebrate wins! We ask that you avoid excessive negativity or comments intended to discourage others from using Swagbucks features.
  • Keep it Relevant – The comments are a place to learn and have fun. If you need help with your specific account or missing SB, the best way to get a resolution is to submit a ticket to our Support Team here.

To Keep the Community Safe, Please Do:

  • Flag comments for review if you believe it violates our house rules. Flagging allows our moderators to take a look and keep the environment safe and constructive for everyone.
  • Protect your own privacy. While we are a close-knit group, please remember these are public comments. For your own safety, avoid sharing your own email address, physical address, or phone number on the wall.
  • Be a mentor! If you see a new member asking a question, lend a helping hand. Sharing your tips and celebrating each other’s wins is what makes this community the best on the web.
  • Keep it constructive. We value your feedback! If you’re frustrated with a feature, help us understand the “why” so we can share that information with our team to help improve the site.

To Keep the Community Safe, Please Avoid:

  • Posting links to “cheat sites” or workarounds.
  • Promoting other websites that offer services comparable to Swagbucks.
  • Posting referral links to Swagbucks or any other sites.
  • Sharing proprietary survey details, such as specific survey numbers or content from our providers. (You can read more on why that’s important here).

Enforcement & “Cooling-Off” Periods

We want everyone to enjoy the conversation, but when things get too heated or rules are broken, we will take action to protect the community. Our moderation uses a tiered system:

  1. Post Monitoring (Shadow Banning): If a member is flagged by multiple members of the community for violating House Rules, they may be placed in this status. This allows our team to monitor their contributions more closely and ensures that the conversation remains constructive for everyone else.
  2. The One-Week “Time Out”: For repeated rule-breaking or when a discussion becomes too argumentative, a member may be placed on a one-week cooling-off period (a temporary ban from commenting).
  3. Account Review: Please remember that severe violations may be reported for further review of your overall Swagbucks account status.

*Confidential info includes personal details (yours or others’), Support correspondence, or account screenshots. Swag Names are not considered confidential and are fine to use!

Thank you for your passion, your feedback, and for being the best part of Swagbucks. Let’s keep the wins coming and the conversation kind!
